Premier Mechanical is currently looking for an Accounting Assistant who will be in a key accounting position and has their primary focus on daily, weekly and monthly accounting related transactions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform parts of the Accounts Payable function including data entry of vendor invoices, follow up on invoice approval with Project Managers, review and reconcile invoice discrepancies.

Must be willing to assist with Accounts Receivable and other accounting related tasks as needed.

Assist in monthly client contractual billings.

Audit accounts payable for vendor to ensure accounts are up to date for assigned projects.

Assist in ensuring all applicable lien waivers are submitted, contracts and insurance requirements are in place.

Assist with completing the monthly closing process, ensuring all client bills and project costs are posted or accrued.

Assist with project financial closeout, ensure final contract amount and closeout documentation requirements have been met as assigned per manager.

Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Must be accountable to research problems and resolve to completion, escalate issues promptly, learn and apply knowledge quickly, and meet deadlines

Must have a minimum of 1-5 years of relevant accounting experience.

Construction Industry experience a plus.

Advanced Computer Skills including Excel, Word and Outlook required the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes.

Sage experience is a plus.
